Today we welcomed our link school St Andrews into our school. We have had a fun filled day teaching the St Andrew’s children all about life at Kearsley West. We managed to complete some fantastic paired and group activities including making friendship bracelets, creating similarities and differences booklets and completing the protect the Pringle challenge.
I really enjoyed our ice breaker activities where we really got to know more about our partners. How interesting it was that some of our partners had the same favourite colours or favourite pets as us!

What an exciting last week of this term. I love WOW weeks and all of the fun activities that we take part in.This term our WOW week has been based on science. I enjoyed learning about the different planets in the planetarium. What have you learned about our focus scientist Isaac Newton? Which was your favourite science investigation?
We have begun this term learning about the marvelous Mediterranean- thinking about what and where it is!
Can you tell me a country in the Mediterranean and something about it?
Our new topic is called the Wonderful World. So far, we have learned about the different layers of the Earth and how volcanoes are created. Can you remember any of the facts about Volcanoes that we discovered during our research sessions?
Last half term our topic was called Constant Changes. We learned so many interesting facts about the Stone Age and beyond. Everyone in class produced an amazing topic project I was so impressed with the wide range of work produced.
