Bonfire Bonanza

We celebrate Bonfire Night in order to remember the time when Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament on November 5th, 1605. On that night, all over the country, bonfires were lit to celebrate the safety of the King. Ever since that day, November 5th has been recognised as Bonfire Night.

We’d like it if you would share your experiences of Bonfire Night. You might choose to do that by writing a poem, a recount, a diary entry, a persuasive text in favour or against bonfires, a safety poster … The list is endless and it really is up to you.

We can’t wait to read them.
